Located in Kylemore Road in Dublin 12, Southside Motor Factors has been a go-to destination for car parts and expert advice since 1976. When they approached us to refresh their identity, the brief was clear: evolve the brand without losing its familiarity and help it stand out in a highly practical, often overlooked industry.
We saw an opportunity to position Southside not just as a supplier of parts, but as a car pharmacy. A dependable place to bring your vehicle for diagnosis, treatment, and expert guidance. This idea of trust, clarity, and care became the foundation of the new identity.
THE DESIGN APPROACH.
We designed a bold, geometric ‘S’ mark built from custom shapes that mirror mechanical components clean, balanced, and instantly recognisable. It is paired with a confident wordmark and a tagline that distills their role: “Ireland’s Trusted Name in Car Parts.”

The colour palette combines dark forest green with near-neon yellow, cream, and a warm orange-a mix that feels both technical and energetic. These colours act as signposts throughout the brand system, guiding customers visually and reinforcing Southside’s approachable, solution-focused attitude.

This metaphor helped us shape not only the tone of the brand but also its visuals: clean, precise graphics, a palette that blends clinical clarity with mechanical boldness, and messaging rooted in trust and reliability. It positions Southside not just as a parts supplier, but as a partner in keeping your car healthy and your journey uninterrupted.
