From recognition to headlines: our design agency's double award nomination and media spotlight.

Nominated for Store Design of the Year

We are delighted to announce Rigney Forge has been shortlisted for two international retail design awards for our work in Kavanagh’s Belsize Park, London. The agency’s work has earned prestigious nominations in two highly competitive categories for ‘Store Design of the Year’ at the 2023 Popai Awards and the 2023 Creative Retail Awards.

The design of Kavanagh’s Belize Park was recognised for its premium supermarket experience, offering unique and varied food choices while strongly emphasising sustainability. The values of quality and sustainability are deeply ingrained in the brand and food offerings, the store design and material selection, reflecting Rigney Forge’s commitment to responsible design.

A Stellar Collaboration: Kavanaghs, Belsize Park

Kavanagh’s Belize Park is operated is by Westport’s Noel Kavanagh and Noel Kavanagh Jnr. and has seen tremendous year-on-year growth since its re-opening in December 2022. Noel Kavanagh Jr, speaking about its success, commented “We set out to create a world-class ‘food solutions’ store, and the results have exceeded our expectations. Feedback from customers is overwhelmingly positive; they get what we are about, and the store design, brand, and in-store communication from Rigney Forge are critical to creating our unique store experience.”

Westmeath, Rigney Forge was set up in 2020 with a focus on collaborating closely with businesses to build bespoke visions that maximise brand potential and most of all the customer’s experience. The agency’s hands-on, personable approach, led by a small and flexible team of designers, ensures that each project is tailor-made for success.

The 2023 Creative Retail Awards recognising and rewarding excellence in the retail industry, will take place on 21st September and the 2023 Popai Awards, which represents the very best in creativity and in-store excellence, takes place on 3rd October. Both awards ceremonies will take place in London. We’re thrilled that the exciting news has been featured in both the Westmeath Independent and by Local Enterprise Westmeath. This recognition highlights our commitment to innovation and creativity within our local community and internationally.
