What we did.
From the initial layout design to the detailed drawings of fixtures and fitting, our role was to create a new vision for the latest in-store shopping experience for SuperValu Knocklyon, which would then be applied to SuperValu stores nationwide.

OUR APPROACH.
The objective for Musgrave was to create a modern food market with a clear destination for customers to navigate. With bold communication and steel frame structures helping define each department, the customers have a 360-degree view of the range of fresh food on offer upon entering the store, with Greengrocers being the centrepiece. Transparency to the prep area and bakery communicates the ‘Made Fresh in Store’ message, and the food is the hero in all departments.
Working we Musgrave, critical areas of ‘exciting ambient’ were identified throughout the store. Then, using simple, flexible solutions, these zones were highlighted to create points of focus for customers.
Collaboration and communication were critical to the project’s success throughout the project. We were lucky to work with a fantastic range of suppliers, the design and project management team in Musgrave Retail Partners, Household, who developed the new Brand Identity and Tap Creative.

OFF-LICENCE DESTINATION.
For the off-licence, we wanted to create a shop-in-shop experience full of energy for customers. Utilising the structure of the building (pillars and lower ceiling), we created an environment set apart from the rest of the store.
With wine, beers and spirits as the focus, digital signage and illuminating wayfinding were applied to help customers navigate and engage with the department. The blend of materials used in the off-licences reflects the quality of the offer, while an allowance is made for SuperValu’s Value range of products.
